10 Questions with Josh
1. FAVOURITE PLACE THAT YOU'VE TRAVELLED?
I've taken many trips with my father, once to Alaska, once all through California, I think I've even gone to Tijuana with him.
New York City is one of the farthest places I've traveled for tattooing, it's a tough flight between San Francisco and Brooklyn
2. FEAR OF?
I hate clowns, I'm also not too keen on mayonnaise. If this question is truly about fear I am terrified of the idea of losing my son. Or my hands
3. WHAT IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
First thing that comes to mind is taking my son to Rome Italy, I named my son after a town I've never been to - Rome. So gotta somehow get the invite to tattoo at the Rome convention, and take my son to the town he was named after... And jumping off of a cliff into crystal-clear waters whether it be Hawaii, Australia, Tahiti... doesn't matter to me. I'll die happy
4. DOGS OR CATS?
I had a cat when I was a kid, loved him to death. But I love my dog Reno. Dogs it is
5. IF YOU COULD LEARN ANYTHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Learn to speak another language fluently. I speak a little bit of Spanish, took a few years of German in school
6. EARLY BIRD OR NIGHT OWL?
I definitely enjoy the early morning, but have a hard time sleeping so I find myself staying up late and waking up early restless. Even though I'm not always productive the second I wake up I feel like I should be doing something
7. WHAT IS THE SCARIEST AND/OR HARDEST THING YOU'VE DONE?
I've survived several car accidents two of them the vehicle flipped over and remained on the roof nearly crushing myself and everyone in the vehicle. I've also been in a convenient store while it was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight. Many other difficult/scary things have happened, not sure the worst
8. SOMEONE YOU'D LIKE TO MEET?
I'd love to meet Bert Grimm, since that's not gonna happen, maybe have a nice afternoon with Morgan Freeman
9. FAVOURITE QUOTE?
"The bitterness of poor quality is remembered long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten" not sure who said that. Or Picasso's "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal"
10. WHAT GOT YOU STARTED IN TATTOOING?
I was involved in graffiti, and a few other forms of street art at the time. I never planned on being a tattooer. I got some encouragement from those close to me at the time, and went head first into tattooing. Lettering was my first taste of tattooing. Made house tattoos for my friends and hoods around town. After some time I got close to some good fellas at a shop couple towns away, got the spot, and the rest is history. Best choice I've ever made
